SAT/ACT Summer 2023
We have provided quality SAT/ACT prep classes since 2010. Our program is tailored towards middle school and high school students.
The program is offered as a 2-week summer session from July 31, 2023 to August 11, 2023 from 9:30am to 11:30am (note: 1:30-3:30pm on Aug 2 and Aug 3).
Class is limited to 10 students. Registration forms will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis until capacity is reached. Confirmation will be emailed out on June 1.
Students may stay and volunteer at ASAC summer camps after the ACT/SAT class -- service hours will be granted.
About the Program
Students will learn strategies that will help them to navigate successfully the verbal and writing sections with an emphasis upon the use of textual evidence to support answers. The class will offer tips for understanding and decoding the questions and problems on the test; completing all sections in the time allotted; and guessing on multiple-choice questions and eliminating incorrect answers.
Students will be offered both large group instruction and independent practice by an instructor with over a decade of experience preparing students for the SAT.
Mr. Stephen Head has been a teacher in the Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools since 2001, having taught 10th, 11th and 12th grade Honor and AP English classes in addition to supervising the school newspaper.
